Evaluating Exponents

Exponents are evaluated by multiplying the base by itself exponent number of times.
Example:
62 = 6 x 6
25 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2
133 = 13 x 13 x 13

A common mistake

A common mistake is thinking the exponent means “multiply the two given numbers", instead of recognizing that it represents the repeated multiplication of the base number.
